Stem Cell Lift® Facelift

Dr. Nathan Newman meeting with a patient before their facelift procedure

Innovated by Dr. Newman over 25 years ago, this one-of-a-kind procedure is a nonsurgical facelift which means no cutting, no pulling, and no scarring. It uses your own stem cells drawn from your body fat to restore your youthful glow!

Results represent the experiences of our clients.  Individual results may vary.

Looking back at the history of plastic surgery, facelifts made many cosmetic surgeons aware that the nip tuck of the past caused the face to look tighter and plastic, not youthful and natural.  As we age, the fullness of the face begins to deflate and the skin starts to lose its elasticity.  This process causes the skin to droop and loosen causing us to look tired and unhealthy.  One of the first places we notice loss of volume is under the eyes and the cheeks.  This loss of volume causes the remaining fat, which supports the eye, to appear as if it is bulging.  The adjacent skin then drops down and inward, which create noticeably deeper laugh lines, marionette lines and jowls.  The Stem Cell Facelift, a nonsurgical facelift, addresses all these issues in one procedure without cutting.

Until now, the traditional plastic surgery concept was to remove the bags from under the eyes, to cut the loose skin out and to pull the skin tight.  In reviewing the facelift results of this plastic surgery concept, cosmetic surgeons noticed that this method not only made people look pulled tight and plastic, but it actually accentuated the loss of volume and the hollowed appearance caused one to look older.

How is the Stem Cell Lift® Facelift different from a traditional face lift?

Dr. Newman’s Stem Cell Lift® facelift technique offers a new paradigm in face lifts as it addresses and overcomes the problems encountered with the 2-dimensional face lifts and fat-grafting methods. First, it is a facelift without surgery and provides a 3-dimensional facelift without any cutting or scarring. It corrects the main cause of an aging face which is volume loss without altering the natural anatomy of your face.  The procedure can be performed with a local anesthesia, there is no need for general anesthesia. The stem cell facelift cost varies from patient to patient dependent on exact treatment plan, but averages around $45,000 whereas the average cost of more contemporary methods of facial surgery can be $85,000 or higher. The cost of the stem cell facelift is a fraction of the cost of older methods of cosmetic surgery since it does not require general anesthesia and takes less time to perform. Also, the entire face (forehead, eyes, nose, temples, cheeks, laugh lines, lips, jowls, and chin) can be done all at the same time with the stem cell facelift procedure. Each area would otherwise entail a separate procedure that costs thousands of dollars.

FAQs

What are stem cells from fat?

Non-embryonic adult stem cells are found most concentrated in the fat. Adult stem cells remain dormant (non-dividing) until they are activated by a normal need for more cells, or by disease or tissue injury. Serving as part of the repair and maintenance system, they can theoretically divide without limit to replenish others. When activated, the stem cell in the fat has the potential to either remain a stem cell or become a fat cell, a muscle cell, a bone cell, a cartilage cell, or a nerve covering cell.

Does it leave scars?

No. This is a facelift without surgery. There are no scalpel knives used in the procedure. Specially designed blunt instruments are used to inject the fat and stem cells to sculpt the body areas as desired.

Does it make my face look fat?

No. The Stem Cell Facelift procedure restores the youthful look by restoring the 3-dimensional balance to the face.

Do I need to be put to sleep?

No. The Stem Cell Facelift procedure is nonsurgical facelift that does not require general anesthesia. Most patients prefer to take an oral sedative to help them feel more relaxed during the procedure.

Is the Stem Cell Facelift safe?

Yes. Since it is your own fat there is no allergic or adverse reaction that can happen from the fat or stem cells. Also, since there is no need for general anesthesia, serious risks associated with being put to sleep are eliminated.

Is it painful?

Most patients report feeling mild pressure during the injection that is controlled with local anesthesia and some soreness in the areas treated for about 1 to 2 weeks after the procedure that does not require pain medication.

How long is the recovery?

You will be able to resume your normal daily activities the following day if you are taking the oral sedative during the procedure. Limited by the degree of swelling that you experience after the procedure. Most patients have noticeable swelling and some bruising in the areas treated from 3 to 10 days, depending on the extent of the procedure and individual healing response.

How long will the result last?

The results should last for approximately 5 to 10 years. The results are affected by your lifestyle, habits and genetics. Smoking and weight fluctuations diminish the results.

How will it look over time?

Since it is your own live tissue, it will be undetectable and will change along with the rest of the surrounding tissues it is found in. In addition to having restored the 3-dimensional balanced proportions to your face, the stem cells help rejuvenate the look and texture of the skin, restoring your youthful glow.

How is it different from fat injections?

Fat grafting injection results are dependent on the technique used. The technique used is a major factor in how much viable fat cells are transferred to the desired area. In the stem cell facelift procedure, Dr. Newman uses unique patent-pending process, which allows him to double or triple the number of stem cells that are going to be used to re-position the fat and to sculpt the face back to its naturally healthy and youthful appearance. This unique process generates better results, last longer and rejuvenates the facial structures as well as the skin over it.

How much does it cost?

The stem cell facelift cost varies from patient to patient dependent on exact treatment plan, but averages around $45,000. The cost of the stem cell facelift is a fraction of the cost of older methods of cosmetic surgery since it does not require general anesthesia and takes less time to perform. Also, the entire face (forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks, laugh lines, lips, jowls, and chin) can be done all at the same time with the stem cell enhanced fat. Each area would otherwise entail a separate procedure that costs thousands of dollars. The average cost of older methods of facial surgery is generally $75,000 and up.

Beyond the Facelift

The Stem Cell Lift can be used for other treatments of the body such as: Brazilian butt-lift/Buttock Augmentation, Hand rejuvenation, volume restoration to ear lobes that can no longer hold up earrings due to the thin skin, Lipo-Correction, Cellulite Correction, Scar revision, Post surgical defects, Vulvar Enhancement, Calf sculpting, Breast Augmentation or Post-surgical correction.
